Abstract:<p>Global anthropogenic mercury (Hg) emissions are a long-lived hazard to human and environmental health. Targeted efforts to ban anthropogenic uses and trade and other releases of mercury and its compounds are underway through the UN Minamata Convention on Mercury [1].
