Abstract: PurposeWe investigated metabolic alterations in the right anterior insula (rAI) in cirrhotic patients and determined its association with patients' cognitive dysfunction.MethodsIn this study, 31 healthy controls (HCs) and 32 cirrhotic patients without overt hepatic encephalopathy participated.
