Metabolic differences between symbiont subpopulations in the deep-sea tubewormRiftia pachyptila

Abstract: The hydrothermal vent tube worm Riftia pachyptila lives in intimate symbiosis with intracellular sulfur-oxidizing gammaproteobacteria.
