Abstract: Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection and metabolic syndrome are common worldwide. Insulin resistance, an inherent part of metabolic syndrome, may result from HCV infection and has been shown to affect outcomes for chronic hepatitis C (CHC) virus infection.
