Metabolisches Syndrom

Abstract: All efforts based on current concepts of obesity have failed to stop the epidemic. Hitherto, the question of body mass regulation focused on regulatory principles centered on the hypothalamus. We present the novel view that the brain (cerebral hemispheres, hypothalamus) requests energy in an active manner from the body (allocation) or the environment (food intake).
