Metais traço em peixes e filtradores em quatro estuários da costa brasileira

Abstract: The Brazilian coast is little studied on bioaccumulation of trace metal aimed to assess the status of contamination in fish and filter feeding organisms. The objective of this work is to obtain a diagnosis of four estuaries of social and economic importance, to be subsequently submitted to further analysis, to search for the cause and effect relationship between biodiversity and natural variations of human actions developed on the coast of Pernambuco, Espírito RESUMONa costa brasileira são escassos os estudos… Show more

“…Aquatic organisms tend to accumulate metal trace elements in their tissue, which leads to great risks of contamination within the trophic chain, even when the levels of these compounds in the water are below the maximum concentration recommended by the legislation (Niencheski et al, 2014). Interferences of seasonality on the bioaccumulation of trace metals in P. perna mussels may have different profiles depending on the study region and survey period.…”

“…Aquatic organisms may accumulate metallic trace elements in their tissues, even when the water has concentrations of these compounds below the maximum concentration tolerated by legislation, which leads to contamination risks within the food chain (NIENCHESKI et al, 2014). Benthic marine species have been widely used as biological indicators for monitoring trace elements, mainly because of their ability to accumulate such substances at concentrations many times higher than those found in the environment (RESGALLA JUNIOR et al, 2008;WALLNER-KERSANACH and BIANCHINI, 2008).…”

“…As neutralizações destes íons resultam em correntes elétricas, que são amplificadas e podem produzir um sinal no detector capaz de gerar um espectro de massa (Lanças, 2009;Koppenaal et al 2005). As conversões de peso úmido para peso seco nos peixes foi feita considerando a umidade entre 79 % no músculo (Filho et al, 2013;Arai et al, 2016) e de 75 % no fígado (Niencheski et al, 2014;Arai et al, 2016).…”
