Metal–organic framework‐derived high‐performance polypyrrole/Ni‐CAT/PI fiber paper‐based electromagnetic shielding composites for high‐frequency electromagnetic wave absorption

Abstract: Light‐weight, portability and miniaturization are important characteristics for the next generation of high‐performance electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding equipment. To meet the current demand for high‐performance EMI shielding materials, this paper proposes a simple and reliable method for preparing multilayer paper‐based composites. Paper‐based composites exhibit light weight, flexibility, easy processing and high temperature resistance. A conductive metal–organic skeleton (Ni‐CAT) layer and polypy… Show more

“…The ICPs usually refer to the polymers with continuous conjugated π‐bond structures of molecular chains to delocalize the π electrons, mainly included polyaniline (PANI), polythiophene (PTh), polyacetylene, polypyrrole (PPy), and poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene (PEDOT) 117–121 . The ICPs combined the advantages of metal as a conductor and polymer as a cost‐effective and flexible material, while also offering benefits of lightweight, tunable performance, and corrosion resistance, exhibiting distinctive shielding mechanisms of reflection and absorption for EMWs.…”

“…The increased thermal stability of ZIF-67-PET/SBS-MA is attributed to the thermal barrier effect of ZIF-67 nanocrystals, 22 providing a strong and dense, continuous "porous" protective layer for PET fibers through an in situ growth strategy (as confirmed by SEM, AFM, and BET results) and their synergistic effect improved the thermal decomposition of SBS-MA to some extent. 60…”

“…Metal-organic framework materials (MOFs), containing metal ions and organic ligands, can form threedimensional (3D) extended structures via corresponding coordination chemical reactions. [29][30][31] Up to now, MOFs have been believed to a cutting-edge porous material after zeolite, carbon nanotubes, and have been extensively employed in catalyst, energy storage, and adsorption, and so forth. [32][33][34] Due to the unique properties of MOFs, different MOFs have been employed to modify fibers for advanced tribological performances.…”
