Metallic Glass Matrix Composites

Abstract: In this chapter, we will firstly introduce the metallic glass and its deformation characteristics briefly. Then we will focus on the fabrication and mechanical properties of metallic glass matrix composites, including ex-situ particle/fiber reinforced, in-situ precipitated phase reinforced and etc. The alloy systems will cover from Zr-based, Ti-based to Mg-based and etc. We will also introduce the latest research on both new reinforcing phases and fabrication processes, including porous particles, shape memory… Show more
