Abstract: Multidrug resistance (MDR) mediated by overexpression of the MDR1 gene product, Pglycoprotein (Pgp), represents one of the best characterized barriers to chemotherapeutic treatment in cancer and may be a pivotal factor in progression of Alzheimer's disease (AD).
