Abstract: Thyroid cancers exist in multiple forms. Papillary and follicular carcinomas of the thyroid are often referred to as well-differentiated thyroid cancers. Well-differentiated thyroid cancers rarely present as a distant metastatic cancer on initial diagnosis.
