Abstract:A problem of vibrational stabilization of systems described by partial differential equations is considered. After reviewing the vibrational control theory for lumped parameter systems, a few cases of vibrational stabilization of distributed parameter systems are discussed. A condition of vibrational stabilizabi li ty for a class of linear partial differential equations is given and an example of vibrational stabilization in a nonlinear situation (Benard instability) is presented.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
