Not only pollution concerns, but also the rising prices of fuel used in conventional vehicles are enforcing people to make use of electric vehicles. In spite of numerous advantages such as pollution-free, noiseless smooth drive; there may be the new possibility of difficulties occurring due to the quiet nature of electric vehicles (EVs). To examine this, it was intended to conduct an extensive questionnaire survey with 398 driver participants to acquire technical data at Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). The analysis used a well-proven driver behaviour questionnaire (DBQ) built on a six-point scale to statistically evaluate driver behaviour responses to perceived risk. This study aims to evaluate the perceived risk encountered by drivers that influence road safety by considering age group, driving experience, and gender. A systematic ANOVA approach was employed to evaluate the significant factors. The results show that the perceived risk is different based on the gender of the driver, especially when parking the vehicle (p=0.000, F=10.11716>Fcrit). The moderate difficulty level for identifying the presence of electric vehicles is present in almost all situations; however, no significant difference was recorded based on gender, age, and driving experience in the rest of the cases. The outcome of the proposed work would be useful while designing the safety policy for electric vehicles.

Information about the differential diagnosis of human bodily injuries, which were formed when the body, wheel and bottom of a modern car came into contact with the body of a pedestrian; a person on the road surface, in the cabin of a modern car (driver and passengers), when a cyclist comes into contact with a car, in cases of combined types of car injury, is not enough. The purpose of the study is to increase the objectivity of forensic examinations by determining the criteria for assessing damage to the dental system in cases of the most common types of accidents: collision of moving vehicle with man; run over the body with a wheels or the bottom of vehicle; at an injury inside the vehicle on the basis of the analysis of morphological features and the mechanism of the specified damages. The archival materials of 130 forensic medical examinations of the municipal institution “Odessa Regional Bureau of Forensic Medical Examination” concerning victims of living persons and corpses as a result of traffic accidents that were accompanied by their injuries in the period 2015-2020 were used. The following research methods were used: anthropometric, morphometric, photographic, radiological, statistical. The article presents our own experience of improving the objectivity and provability of forensic examinations by determining the criteria for assessing damage to the dental system in cases of the most common types of vehicle: collision of moving vehicle with man; run over the body with a wheels or the bottom of vehicle; at an injury inside the vehicle on the basis of the analysis of morphological features and the mechanism of the specified damages. It is proved that according to the degree of gravity of physical injuries (health disorder or disability), damage to the dental apparatus in traffic accidents should be investigated only in cases of isolated injuries. In this case, fractures of the jaws, regardless of their nature, should be assessed as moderate injuries according to the criterion of long-term health disorders; Crown fractures, traumatic tooth dislocations, and soft tissue fatal wounds should be considered simple injuries that have caused short-term health disorders. Abrasions, bruises should be attributed to simple injuries. Thus, it is impractical to separately determine the severity of the injury of the dental system in cases run over the head with a wheels or the bottom of vehicle - in these cases, we always deal with gross, massive destruction of the bones of the skull.

The aim of this study is to collate valuable information about the hazard perception process of (young) drivers and to evaluate their hazard perception skills. For this, an eye-tracking system was used to record the visual behaviour of drivers. In addition, a system based on a data logger and sensors was developed to capture and log the relevant data from the vehicle. By tapping into the vehiclés CAN bus (Controller Area Network), the needed parameters (e.g. position of accelerator, brake, and clutch pedal, as well as the steering wheel angle) were acquired through the reverse engineering of the vehicle′s CAN stream. All the captured data was subsequently synchronized and overlaid in the eye-tracking video. The complete system, i.e. data-logger and sensors, was consistently integrated into a driving school car. Due to the fact that all the data was captured in real-time whilst driving in traffic, every analysed situation can be considered unique and therefore cannot be compared to other situations. The results of the study revealed that only in 18% of the analysed situations, the hazard-perception skills were adequate or the same as they were taught at the driving school just a few months previous. Confronted by the videos of their lessons, the participating drivers adjusted their self-assessment scores for their driving skills downwards by around 25% on average.
