Abstract:Counting the occurrence of different k-mers often causes problems of genome assembly. Analysis of the frequency distribution of k-mers makes it possible to find assembly errors in already formed contigs. Currently, in connection with the development of instrumentation for genetic analysis, there is an urgent need to develop methods for assessing the quality of genomic assembly. Such techniques will make it possible to assess the reliability of genetic analysis in existing and newly developed devices. In this w… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
