Abstract:Beaches around the world provide recreational opportunities for hundreds of millions of people and serve as important components of coastal economies. Monitoring the water quality of beaches is often carried out for their microbiological quality and physicochemical parameters in order to detect the presence of indicators of human contamination by sewage in order to prevent public health outbreaks associated with contact with water (ADENIJI; SIBANDA; OKOH, 2019; BARBOSA et al., 2022).
