Abstract:The ground-state properties of the nucleus 28O are studied in relativistic and nonrelativistic mean-field approaches. It is shown by these calculations without any adjusting parameters that 28O is a weakly bound nucleus and exhibits neutron halos. The differences among various mean-field approaches have been compared and discussed.
