Microscopical evidences for the presence of a nucleus inCandida albicans chlamydoconidia

Abstract: By using the fluorescent, DNA specific stain DAPI (4',6-diamidino-2-phenylindole) some microscopic observations of Candida albicans pseudomycelium and chlamydoconidia were performed. In this manner blue fluorescent dots were noted both in yeasts, psudomycelium and chlamydoconidia, so evidencing the presence of a nucleus in C. albicans chlamydoconidia.
