Microstrip diplexer design based on two square open loop bandpass filters for RFID applications

Abstract: In this work, a simple and efficient approach to design a microstrip diplexer is proposed. It is based on the combination of two compact Square Open Loop Resonator band pass filters. These filters are designed for Radio Frequency Identification application at 2.45 GHz frequency. Using the Chebychev approximation, the two filters and diplexer are designed, simulated, fabricated, and measured. The results show that the diplexer presents a high selectivity, a good insertion loss and high isolation (>40 dB) wit… Show more

“…In Table 4, f o1 and f o2 are the first and second resonance frequencies of bandpass-bandpass diplexers. In the comparison Table, references [15][16][17][18] are bandpass-bandpass diplexers, which have larger dimensions and higher losses in comparison with authors' work while the authors could attenuate the harmonics better than them. However, because of their more comfortable designs, the channels of bandpass-bandpass diplexers are closer than lowpass-bandpass diplexers.…”

“…A matching circuit consisting of two coupled transmission lines with different widths are utilised to integrate the resonators. Several types of bandpass-bandpass diplexers are reported in [13][14][15][16]. Due to the decrease in insertion losses at both channels, the proposed diplexer in [13] is a suitable structure for RF energy harvesting.…”

“…In particular, when government departments, social groups and economic organizations have to publish any information of fixed content in a timely way, fixed standard and fixed format, and wired networks, wireless networks and media copies may not be safe enough for such purposes: this kind of communication will ensure safe transmission. OBC refers to a special way of communication to transmit messages between networks by employing basic principles of computer application, optical principles of barcode technology (e.g., RFID technology) [1][2][3], and micro-range wireless communication (e.g., NFC technology) [4][5][6][7]. This method is safe, reliable and practical, and addresses the concerns of government departments, social groups, and economic organizations about communication security.…”
