“…In principle, E 2 (high) is increased by compression, whereas E 2 (high) is decreased by tensile stress. 41,56 It has been reported that the unstrained E 2 (high) peak 54,57 appears at 437.0 cm −1, and the slight blue shift in the E 2 (high) peak represents a compressive stress on the nanostructure of the sample. No additional unknown peaks are observed.…”

“…53,54 β-LiGaO 2 and γ-LiAlO 2 were also investigated as lattice-matched substrates for epitaxial growth of GaN, 55,56 InN, 57 and ZnO. 58,59 Here, we report a new method of chemical conversion of glycerol to α-hydroxy acid glyceryl esters by alcoholysis of cyclic esters, i.e., L-lactide (L-LA), glycolide (GA), and ε-caprolactone (ε-CL), mediated by lithium and group 13 aryloxides. The preparation and characterization of six metal aryloxides, namely [Al (MesalO) 4), [Li 6 (MesalO) 6 ] ( 5) and [Me 2 GaLi (MesalO) 2 (H 2 O)] ( 6), MesalO = methyl salicylate ligand, are presented.…”
