Abstract:Superconductive traveling-wave photomixers (STWPMs) are introduced as viable means to generate microwave and millimeter-wave signals. STWPMs operate based on the kinetic-inductive photoresponse of a superconducting thin film integrated with an optical waveguide and a microwave/mm-wave transmission line.
