Abstract:The microwave photonic frequency doubling is achieved through optical carrier suppression modulation. The undesirable optical carrier and new generated optical idler light caused by four wave mixing (FWM) effect in the dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) system can be blocked by a specially designed F-P-based FBG pair. A stable microwave frequency component at around 18 GHz with high suppression ratio to unwanted frequencies (>40 dB) is obtained after an RoF link transmission.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
