Abstract:The need to bridge the THz gap is stimulated by a growing number of important applications including biochemical spectroscopy, plasma turbulence diagnostics and drive sources for tokamaks. Cherenkov sources based on two-dimensional (2D) corrugated surface lattice interaction structures, in which the diameter is several times greater than the radiation wavelength, hold strong promise to bridge the THz gap. In this paper, we demonstrate the ability to drive these sources, typically intended for steady-state oper… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
