Abstract:For the introduction of computer architecture in computer science, highly simplified specification of CPU, and visualization of CPU operation are important. This paper describes a CPU simulator we have developed. It supports students' learning of introduction of computer architecture. It presents internal status of CPU by processor block diagrams, and provides buttons for manipulation in various ways. And our simulator provides set of the diagram and the buttons as the progress of students' learning.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
