Mobile payments: A proposal for a context-oriented approach based on socio-technical theory

Abstract: A recent review of mobile payment research by Dahlberg et al. (2015) concludes that there is a need to synthesise this research area by studying contexts in which innovation is carried out and to integrate different aspects of research. This article aims to provide a proposal for how to achieve such integration and context orientation by building on previous studies and offering an additional review. Our systematic literature review of mobile payments research is focused on papers published during 2006–2016. T… Show more

“…Following prior review research (Alampay & Moshi, 2018; Apanasevic, Arvidsson, & Markendahl, 2018), we developed a coding framework that summarizes five key dimensions, namely, Bibliographic Details , Research Background , Mobile Money (MM) , Research Methods , and Outcomes (see Table 1). The purpose of this framework was to code (and therefore convert) each selected study, which is unstructured, into a structured data point.…”

“…However, the dimension in the socio-technical regime lacks empirical analysis. Thus, a research gap needs to be filled (Apanasevic, 2018). To effectively solve problems such as logistics management, it is advisable to better understand the views of the national logistics management personnel on RFID, to analyze their intentions and decision-making, with which they improve military logistics and strengthen their overall combat capabilities.…”

“…In the WCDMA network system, MSC and VLR are generally used in combination, and both are implemented on the same physical network entity [13][14][15]. MSC is similar to the brain of the whole network call control, and its main function is to decide how to handle the call control process of the user devices under its control, as well as to manage the mobility of the user devices [16,17].…”
