Mobility-Aware Service Caching in Mobile Edge Computing for Internet of Things

Abstract: The mobile edge computing architecture successfully solves the problem of high latency in cloud computing. However, current research focuses on computation offloading and lacks research on service caching issues. To solve the service caching problem, especially for scenarios with high mobility in the Sensor Networks environment, we study the mobility-aware service caching mechanism. Our goal is to maximize the number of users who are served by the local edge-cloud, and we need to make predictions about the use… Show more

“…Now the Internet of ings technology has been applied in many fields, such as medical and health field and environmental monitoring field. In this paper, in the process of pushing the supply chain information of the logistics park, the Internet of ings technologies are used, including radio frequency identification technology, GPS technology, and infrared technology [5,6]. Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology is a noncontact automatic identification technology that can use the principle of radio frequency signal and spatial coupling transmission.…”

“…1 , fog computing is the global architecture of distributing resources across the network, whereas edge computing is an underlying term that focuses on executing compute processes close to end-users outside the network core, and mobile edge computing (MEC) is an architecture standard for edge computing. Thereafter, MEC architectures successfully solve the problem of high latency in cloud computing because the infrastructure-based cloud servers are always located centrally in the core network and far away from the IoT devices ( Wei, Luo & Sun, 2020 ).…”
