Abstract:This study presents a proposal for modeling regulatory networks based on public biological data from three classes of regulatory elements (ncRNAs) such as miRNAs, circRNAs and piRNAs and their relations (regulation and origin) with genes. The integrated networks and its association with clinically relevant biological data allowed the discovery of potential candidate genes related to complex diseases. According to this network's centrality and neighborhood overlap, we identified novel potential genes and ncRNAs… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
