Modeling a bench-scale alternating aerobic/anoxic activated sludge system for nitrogen removal using a modified ASM1

Abstract: The Activated Sludge Model No. 1 (ASM1), developed by The International Association of Water Pollution Research and Control, was applied to model dynamics of NH4+, and NO3- in a bench scale alternating aerobic-anoxic (AAA) activated sludge system for nitrogen removal.
