Modeling and Analysis of Laminated Composite Plates Embedded with Shape Memory Alloy Wires

Abstract: A Laminated composite plate with embedded shape memory alloy wires are modeled and analyzed based on the modified higher-order shear deformation theory. The Hamilton's principle in conjunction with Brinson's constitutive model is used to obtain the three-dimensional governing equations.
