Abstract:Biologically inspired autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) or biomimetic AUVs are made to replicate the structural and physiological features of aquatic species. Thus, incorporation of its design in AUV modelling provides higher efficiency at low speeds and improves maneuverability and controllability. This paper develops a biomimetic AUV design based on structural parameters and physiology of an adult Atlantic Salmon fish and proposes a robust control scheme for propelling the fins. For the biomimetic model … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
