Çetintaş from the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey, jointly contributed the third and last paper, "Improving Time-Domain EMI Measurements through Digital Signal Processing". They propose a set of recommended practices for improving the time-domain EMI measurement (TDEM) systems by means of a digital signal processing technique. The paper focuses on two major aspects, the optimal configuration settings of the direct measurement equipment and the deployment of algorithms to process the measurement result. With the recommended practices, general purpose time-domain test instruments can be employed as an alternative choice for EMI measurements, especially when transient disturbances are present.Enjoy reading these three papers! Abstract-The paper aims at describing the nature of numerical models used in EMC studies and their inherent assumptions and limitations. The ultimate objective is to elucidate the manner in which, together with measurements, they can be used to get a better understanding of EMC phenomena and assist in the design of EMC compliant systems. The general more formal aspects of numerical modeling were addressed in Part I. In Part II we focus on more detailed technical aspects and the importance of exploiting synergies between modeling and testing.
