Modeling preferential attraction to infected hosts in vector-borne diseases

Abstract: Vector-borne infectious diseases cause more than 700,000 deaths a year and represent an increasing threat to public health worldwide. Strategies to mitigate the spread of vector-borne diseases can benefit from a thorough understanding of all mechanisms that contribute to viral propagation in human.
