Abstract:ABSTRACT:A model based on the combination of Hansen solubility parameter theory and Flory-Rehner polymer solution theory was used to determine the solubility parameters of butyl glove material provided by several different manufacturers using a nonlinear least-square regression. To evaluate the validity of this model, weight gain data were collected for 26 solvents versus butyl gloves from four different vendors. Good correlation was found with R 2 ranging from 0.858 to 0.961, which was attributed to extended … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
