Modeling solubility parameters and permeation data of organic solvents versus butyl gloves from four manufacturers

Abstract: ABSTRACT:A model based on the combination of Hansen solubility parameter theory and Flory-Rehner polymer solution theory was used to determine the solubility parameters of butyl glove material provided by several different manufacturers using a nonlinear least-square regression. To evaluate the validity of this model, weight gain data were collected for 26 solvents versus butyl gloves from four different vendors.
