Although new ecotourism indeed developed from the last years of the twentieth century, it has been receiving considerable attention from the whole society, because of its superiority compared to other types of tourism in terms of responsibility for people, nature, and environment. Ecotourism is becoming popular as visitors begin to pay more attention to minimizing their impact on the beautiful lands they come across. Vietnam has become an ideal place to provide many eco-tourism experiences for tourists interested in the environment. Tram Chim is one of the National Parks in Vietnam that has excellent potential to develop this type of ecotourism as it is considered a "small part" of the ancient wetland ecosystem. Tram Chim National Park -Ramsar area is of international importance, ranking 2,000th in the world and 4th in Vietnam. Tram Chim National Park attracts many tourists because of its beautiful natural landscape and rare red-crowned crane and many other plants and animals in the Red Book. This article outlines the potentials, current status, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges in ecological tourism development. On that basis, propose some orientations and solutions to promote ecotourism development in Tram Chim National Park in the next time.

In public management, it is common to face conflicting objectives, particularly in relation to land use. Adequate land use management requires a valuation of land that incorporates the value of all its characteristics. That is, in addition to the traditional direct use value, it must incorporate the non-use value (existence and legacy), as well as the indirect use and option values. The analytic hierarchy process is used, firstly, to identify the priority values based on a panel of experts, and secondly, in assessment of use/non-use values, using market valuation techniques as support. As a result, we analyse the trade-offs among all values, and the respondent’s consistency. At first, we observed that the soil with the highest protection had the lowest market value in terms of direct use. However, considering the weights of the panel of experts, we can conclude that the market value only represents 7.6% of the total value. Non-market values represent 92.4% of the total value. The underlying aim is to facilitate decision-making in the field of land management to increase social welfare and the resilience of landscapes.

Human perceptions under unstructured forms contain valuable information for ecological restoration (ER). To aid in ER, this paper introduces a working process to analyze the unstructured information for the case study of black bear restoration (BBR) in East Texas where understanding of the perceptions of stakeholders at a community level is needed. We identified the current situation, revealed stakeholders and their interactions, and developed actions for change for BBR. Our techniques included recording discussions in meetings, Soft Systems Methodology, and stakeholder analysis. Results indicated the current situation of BBR with human-bear and human-human conflicts. We figured out that information exchange was interrupted in the public, a potential cause for conflicts. Through a systemization, results showed various roles of key stakeholders and constraints for BBR. We found that local state agencies and local residents (particularly landowners) are the key decision-makers for BBR success. Their collaboration can result in a small portion of success (1/9) that can be increased by more cooperation. The SSM framework introduced in this study can be used for modeling community perceptions in ecological restoration.
