Modern ideas about the importance of providing zinc in infectious diseases in children

Abstract: Zinc (Zn) is an essential trace element that is critical for growth, development and maintenance of immune function. Zn is an indispensable trace element for humans, which is part of more than 20 metalloenzymes, including DNA and RNA polymerase, phosphatase, carbonic anhydrase and some others.
