“…Moheibacter is a yellow, rod-shaped, strictly aerobic, nonmotile Gram-negative bacterium whose cellular peroxidase positivity is extremely viable during two-electron oxygen reduction. In addition, studies ( Liu et al, 2021 ) have shown its resistance to various antibiotics, such as ceftriaxone, penicillin and kanamycin, as well as the presence of genes associated with copper homeostasis in the genome, suggesting that this strain has a strong potential to compete with other microorganisms. Nitrospiraceae is a well-reported cathodic electroactive bacterium ( Garcíamuñoz et al, 2011 ; Wu et al, 2017 ), whose autotrophic nitrite oxidation function ( Daims et al, 2001 ) in denitrifying biocathodes ( Kelly and He, 2014 ) can promote power production while synergizing nitrogen metabolism with other denitrifying bacteria (such as Nitrosomonas ) ( Liao et al, 2018a ).…”

“…At the ASV level, ASV3 (mean = 10.03%, SD = 2.29%), which was assigned to the genus Moheibacter , was the most abundant ( Figure 3 C). Previous research has shown that Moheibacter species usually colonize environments rich in organic matter ( Zhang et al., 2014 ; Schauss et al., 2016 ; Liu et al., 2021 ; Yu et al., 2022 ); these data suggest that Moheibacter species can decompose and utilize organic matter. In this study, Moheibacter species were present in PBL frass samples, indicating that the species can colonize the PBL digestive tract and help PBLs digest organic matter.…”

“…O Moheibacter sediminis apresentou crescimento em faixas de salinidade de 0 a 30 g-NaCl L -1 , com crescimento ótimo entre 0 e 5 g-NaCl L -1 (ZHANG et al, 2014), enquanto e o Moheibacter lacus apresentou crescimento na presença de 10 g-NaCl L -1 (LIU et al, 2021), corroborando com o aumento da abundância relativa em concentrações acima de 6,90 g-NaCl L -1 nesse estudo.…”
