Ghrelin (ghrl) and its receptor gene, ghsr (growth hormone secretagogue receptor), regulate numerous physiological functions, including growth hormone secretion and food intake. In the present study, we investigated the sequences and expression characteristics of the two genes in bighead carp (Hypophthalmichthys nobilis).
