Abstract:Dioxomolybdenum complexes based on salan ligands have been evaluated for their potential in catalyzing the deoxydehydration (DODH) reaction. The DODH reaction is a formal reduction that converts vicinal diols into olefins using an oxometal catalyst and a sacrificial reductant.
