Monitoring the Covid-19 Diffusion by Combining Wearable Biosensors and Smartphones.

Abstract: The management of the current pandemic COVID-19 has been challenging and complex. The main and only successes have been achieved with non-pharmacological interventions (NPI). When tracking, monitoring, and early intervention at home have been delivered to citizens, the contagion can be controlled. In the current pandemic, various methods have been applied to track the COVID-19 virus, such as Korea's mobile phone tracking system. We propose a method based on a wearable bracelet prototype able to detect biomedic… Show more

“…The COVID-19 contagion can be controlled by tracking, monitoring, and early intervention at home. Mohammedhusen et al [ 73 ] developed a bracelet prototype to detect biomedical parameters such as low blood oxygenation or high temperature to provide a home-based solution using 3D printing. These biomedical parameters are instrumental in monitoring a patient with a viral infection.…”

“…In addition, the physical activities data and nature of the work is also monitored continuously to effectively control the disease [49]. Recently, methods that can exploit the power of both wearable devices and mobile technology have become an effective solution to handle the epidemic [50].…”
