Abstract:Sepsis is a life-threatening condition characterized by immune system dysregulation whose pathophysiology still remains incompletely understood. Better outcomes in patients with sepsis have not been reached despite guidelines updates, development of rapid diagnostic tests, and proper hemodynamic and antimicrobial management.
