Abstract:Triangular lattices are a promising platform for various magnetic phases and potential applications. Here, we predict that monolayer CrTe obtained from cleaving the [002] surface is dynamically stable and a ferromagnet at room temperature. We show that the monolayer exhibits in-plane ferromagnetism and is a half-metal with a large half-metal gap. It has a high magnetic transition temperature (400 K), as indicated by our Monte Carlo simulations. Furthermore, the monolayer displays significant in-plane magnetocr… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
