The present study examines the moral aspects of Chief Executive Officers (CEOs). We focus on two fundamental moral foundations—binding (prioritizing group loyalty and authority) and individualizing (prioritizing individual rights and welfare). Based on 10-year data of U.S. CEOs from S&P 500 firms, we found that only among high-power CEOs, binding foundations are predicted by the facial width-to-height ratio (fWHR; an androgen-sensitive phenotype associated with social dominance), but not by facial symmetry (fS; a phenotype associated with social concern), whereas individualizing foundations are predicted by fS but not by fWHR. Our findings suggest that CEOs’ moral foundations are characteristic adaptations, varying upon genetic predispositions contextualized in their social roles (positional power). Given the potentially significant influence of executives’ morality on various firm stakeholders, the economy, and society, we shed light on the strategic leadership literature by identifying important predictors of CEOs’ moral foundations.

Mass media television, radio and Internet have a profound influence and change people's way of thinking, values and behaviors, especially for new media heavy users of university students, the influence of the media is more obvious and profound. In order to play the guiding thought of Ideological and political education in the complex media environment, we must combine the theory and the practice of communication into the academic research and practice activities, broaden the ideological and political education discipline field, and improve the effectiveness of Ideological and political education. The network news communication has both positive and negative influences on the ideological and moral education of university students. Firstly, this paper analyzes the characteristics of network news communication, and points out that network news dissemination has selectivity and position. The characteristics of Internet news communication make it bring about two influences on the ideological and moral education of university students, that is, positive influence and negative influence. Finally, the author puts forward his own views on how to deal with the negative influence and how to deal with the negative influence of network news communication on the ideological and moral quality of university students.

Given the increasing concern on ethical issues in China, the purpose of this study is to identify the determines of moral judgment. They are perceived moral intensity, moral maturity, and moral ideology. A sample survey was conducted in Shanghai, China, which involved 110 domestic and foreign managers who had pursued their MBA degree. Qualitative comparative analysis was applied in data analysis. The results demonstrate that relativism is negatively related to moral judgment, but when managers' perceived moral intensity or level of moral development is high enough, or idealism is high enough, managers tend to make moral judgment. Asymmetrically, even if managers' idealism is higher than relativism, and their level of moral development is not low, their low perceived moral intensity is very likely to lead to immoral judgment.
