Abstract: Diesel particulate matter (DPM) is an area of concern from an environmental point of view due to its functionality to settle in the respiratory channels when inhaled, cause inflammation in the respiratory tract, accumulate carcinogenic compounds, and adversely reflected the cardiovascular functions, thus causing excess mortality.
