Most local newspapers use Pinterest only for news

Abstract: This study examines how local newspapers across the USA use the social network Pinterest. News is the predominant theme in the 1,123 pin boards analyzed. Also, the number of pin boards is related to the newspapers’ circulation size. Few use Pinterest to promote the newspaper.
