Motion Detection and Face Recognition using Raspberry Pi, as a Part of, the Internet of Things

Abstract: Face recognition and motion detection are described in the context of the construction of a system of intelligent solutions, for use in the home, that can be used as a single free standing functional unit or as an element of a bigger system, connected to the Internet of Things. To create a complex system, a micro PC, Raspberry Pi 3, was used together with an application capable of recognizing faces and detecting motion.
