Mouse Virulence of Human, Systemic, Pathogenic Escherichia coli Strains

Abstract: Strains of Escherichia coli isolated from systemic infections of humans exhibited marked intraperitoneal and intracerebral virulence for mice. This marked virulence was not exhibited by enteropathogenic strains.
