Abstract:One of the main problems in the mechanization and automation of coal-winning from steeply dipping seams is to ensure guided motion of the extraction system along the hypsometry of the seam. This problem has been attacked by Rudanovskii [i], Smitten [2], and others, who considered the movement of a coal-cutting machine in a profile plane in a flat-lying seam, mainly in the absence of effects due to external disturbances.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
