Movement of an extraction system along the hypsometry of a steeply dipping seam

Abstract: One of the main problems in the mechanization and automation of coal-winning from steeply dipping seams is to ensure guided motion of the extraction system along the hypsometry of the seam. This problem has been attacked by Rudanovskii [i], Smitten [2], and others, who considered the movement of a coal-cutting machine in a profile plane in a flat-lying seam, mainly in the absence of effects due to external disturbances.
