mRNA and microRNA expression profiles of radioresistant NCI-H520 non-small cell lung cancer cells

Abstract: To elucidate the mechanism of radioresistance in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells and to identify key molecules conferring radioresistance, the radioresistant subclone NCI-H520/R, derived from the NCI-H520 NSCLC cell line, was established with eight rounds of sublethal irradiation. The radioresistant features were subsequently assessed using a clonogenic assay, analysis of apoptosis and an MTT assay, the gene expression levels were examined using an Agilent Whole Human Genome 4×44 k Oligo microarray an… Show more

“…Further GO analyzed a majority of these significant GO terms classified into the biological process, other important functional groups included protein binding, extracellular region, extracellular space and extracellular region part. The number of differentially expressed genes was significantly less than other mRNA expression profile research of other tumor diseases or inflammatory diseases (Wang et al 2015, Chen et al 2015, Guo et al 2015. The result suggests that the response of HBMECs induced by T. pallidum is weakly.…”

“…In previous decades, a large number of important signaling pathways in tumorigenesis were identified through analysis of the expression profiles of gene microarrays. This technology has also been used for genomic analysis, which may aid in the discovery of key genes that are interrelated with tumorigenesis ( 9 ).…”

“…Despite improvements in early detection and therapeutic strategies, the prognosis with standard treatments for patients remains poor, with a 5-year relapse rate of 80% (5). Many investigations have sought to identify novel drug targets and effective ways to combat lung cancer, however, significant research is still required (6)(7)(8). Therefore, there is an urgency to develop novel effective agents to treat lung cancer.…”
