In our own work we have developed new technology employing Coloured Petri Nets for managing interaction protocols and efficient transfer to new agents when they enter an already existing society of interacting agents (Purvis, Hwang, Purvis, Cranefield, & Schievink, 2002;Purvis, Nowostawski, Oliveira, & Cranefield, 2003).
