Multi-criteria Optimisation in the Design of Modular Homes - From Theory to Practice

Abstract: Multi-criteria optimisation searches by a genetic algorithm define a Pareto optimal front, a state in which one objective can only be improved at the expense of another. But optimisation is not a search for the best but for better -the goal is to improve performance by trading-off conflicting criteria or objectives.
