“…To reveal their oxidase-like and peroxidase-like catalytic mechanisms, the types of free radical were verified by free radical scavenger and electron spin resonance (ESR) measurements. Generally, thiourea (TH), p -benzoquinone (PBQ), ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid (EDTA), and sodium azide (NaN 3 ) were used as the scavengers of the hydroxyl radical (·OH), superoxide anion (O 2 ·– ), oxygen vacancies, and singlet oxygen ( 1 O 2 ), respectively .
