Abstract:Fitts law is widely used in HCI to evaluate pointing performance. However it presents flaws that can be exacerbated when the evaluation takes place with atypical populations. In this article, we present three evaluation methods for pointing performance that have been proposed recently (the WHo model, the EMG regression and the method of PVPs) and that address one or more of these flaws.
